Reasons Why The Sony Vaio EC Notebook Should Be Your Next Computer

As with all computers that are made by Sony, the Sony Vaio EC Notebook is a state-of-the-art notebook that has many notable features and benefits. Personal computer users will enjoy using this particular notebook because it has many of the same benefits that are usually attributed to a desktop computer. This product has both good and bad points which we will present in this short review.

Well before the advent of personal computers, Sony was a leader in the electronics field. From televisions, to shelf stereo systems, to professional quality stereo headphones, they have always been innovators in the electronics field. People looking for a well designed notebook computer by a reputable company were pleased when Sony unveiled their Vaio EC line. EC means economy class and these notebooks were priced much lower than the older Sony PCs. This gives you the opportunity to own a Sony computer for around $800, which is quite reasonable for a high performance notebook that can easily replace a desktop. While you can certainly find cheaper machines, such as bargain priced notebooks, they won’t perform at the same level as the Vaio EC series, especially if you’re interesting in playing games, watching movies or using multiple applications at once. Designed to be compact, the chiclet keyboard with the small number pad make it convenient and easy to store. One accessory that does come with this Sony notebook is a rubber cover or skin that fits tightly over the keyboard to preserve it for many years of use. Keyboarding with this computer is actually very similar to a standard size keyboard which makes it very convenient to use on the go. Similar to the maneuverability that you will find with a standard mouse, the touchpad that you access your icons and files with relative ease. For anyone used to a desktop, the touchpad is what you use on a notebook instead of a mouse. The Vaio EC is very user-friendly despite the small differences in regard to the touchpad and the keyboard.

If screen size matters to you, then you probably won’t be upset by one feature of the Vaio EC which makes it less desirable. This computer is actually quite bulky because of all its components and therefore is not as easy to carry around as most notebooks. If you think it might fit in your laptop case, make sure to measure both the case and the dimensions of the computer before purchasing.

So while it’s certainly possible to lug the Vaio EC around with you all day, it might get tiresome after a while. Basically, if you are not going to carry it around a lot, it would be best suited in a stationary position. You just have to make a determination as to whether or not you need a smaller model to make it easier for you to carry around. Overall, there’s not much to complain about when it comes to the Sony Vaio EC Notebook. All the main attributes you look for in a notebook PC are present. In fact, there are even features included that other comparable notebook PCs don’t have. Considering the fact that the Vaio EC is a Sony product, though maybe it’s a little pricier than other brands, it’s still a very good buy for what you are getting. Keep this review about the Sony Vaio EC handy when you start shopping for a full-featured notebook computer from a reputable manufacturer.
