House Training English Bulldog Pets The Right Way
Bulldog puppies develop a habit to excrete inside your house ever since the day that you get your bulldog. However, it’s not much of a habit they develop. Your puppy does not know where he or she should pee and it is up to you to show her that they shouldn’t relieve inside your home. Problem is that majority of bulldog owners do not know how to house train their bulldog so they remain suffering from our problem for a while.
Boxer puppies are highly smart and understand our needs if we know how to help our puppy understand. Us owners have to apprehend that bulldogs do not think the same way people do it. That is, although we are able to recollect what happened in the past for years, dogs can only remember an event that occured in the time frame of 5 seconds or so. If you extend that period your bulldog puppy simply can’t relate to that timeframe any longer.
Knowing that wouldn’t it be silly to go to your your bulldog 30 minutes after she peed on the floor, point to the lake your pup made and yell at your bulldog. However, so many bulldog owners will do it without realizing that a dog does not understand exactly what you expect of him. Instead of doing that, dog owners should try applying something that is more effective like positive reinforcement training.
In order to potty train our bulldog we have a few methods to do that. First bulldog owners can implement the use of a crate. Put the water bowl and a blanket inside it and keep close for your bulldog to see if your dog wants to go out. Your bulldog may begin yelping when he is good to go, but it could every now and then be a false alarm. Anyway, take your bulldog out and after your puppy poops you have to instantaneously praise and reward. Not 25 minutes later, not even 15 seconds later. Also, ensure your puppy is entirely done prior to rewarding your bulldog puppy.
Another method that could help housetraining is bring your dog out and put a long leash so that he can run in the yard. Similar to the previous method, watch him and reward your puppy as soon as he goes out.
If it so happens you happen to catch your dog pottying inside that’s the only exception for negative reinforcement. A solid “No!” is good, enough to make sure that our puppy knows you’re not happy with your puppy.But you can only do that if you can catch the dog doing it, otherwise forget it. Over the course of few weeks your bulldog puppy should be house trained.
